The Problem
Why Most Brightening Products Disappoint
Most brightening creams use one or two ingredients targeting a single melanin pathway. But melanin production involves multiple biological processes — upstream signalling, tyrosinase activity, melanosome transfer, and oxidative stress. Targeting just one is like closing one door while leaving three wide open.
That's why results plateau. You've spent weeks — sometimes months — using a product that promised visible brightening, only to see marginal improvement that stalls. Then you start again with a different product, hoping this one will be different.
And the products that do use multi-active clinical formulas? SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense starts at $145 for 30ml. Murad Rapid Dark Spot Correcting Serum is $108. You shouldn't have to choose between clinical-grade ingredients and an accessible price.
The Formula
5 Actives. 3 Pathways. One Complete Formula.
Every concentration disclosed. Every ingredient backed by peer-reviewed clinical research.
Tranexamic Acid
3%
Upstream signalling pathway
Meta-analysis of 1,563 patients confirmed efficacy for visible skin tone improvement. Minimal systemic absorption through topical application.
Niacinamide
5%
Melanosome transfer pathway
Clinical study showed comparable efficacy to 4% hydroquinone for reducing the appearance of dark spots — without the side effects.
Alpha-Arbutin
2%
Tyrosinase inhibition pathway
Reduced melanin synthesis to 40% of control in vitro studies. Gentler and more stable than hydroquinone.
N-Acetyl Glucosamine
2%
Niacinamide synergy
Randomised controlled trial (N=202) confirmed that NAG + niacinamide together significantly outperform either ingredient alone.
3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid
2%
Antioxidant + post-tyrosinase
The most stable water-soluble vitamin C derivative. Used by Kiehl's ($85+) and Shiseido. We offer it at mid-range pricing.
Why this matters
Most AU brightening products use 1-2 actives. Budget brands like The Ordinary use one. The Booty Co uses four. SkinCeuticals uses four.
BARE CLINICAL uses five — at concentrations we actually disclose.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How long until I see results?
Most people notice smoother more radiant skin within 2-4 weeks. Visible brightening of dark spots typically becomes apparent at 4-8 weeks. For best results we recommend at least 8-12 weeks of consistent daily use with SPF 30+.
Can I use this on face and body?
Yes. The Body and Face Brightening Cream is formulated for use on face neck décolletage underarms knees elbows and inner thighs. For intimate areas we will be launching a dedicated Intimate Brightening Gel with a pH-balanced formula specifically designed for sensitive skin.
How is this different from bleaching?
This is not a bleaching product. It contains no bleach no hydroquinone and no harsh chemicals. Our formula works with your skin natural renewal process to support a brighter more even-looking complexion. It does not change your natural skin colour — it helps reduce the appearance of areas that have become darker than your baseline due to sun exposure friction or other factors.
Do I need to use sunscreen?
Yes — SPF 30+ daily is essential. Sun exposure is the number one factor that can slow your progress and undo results. Think of sunscreen as your results insurance. We recommend applying it every morning regardless of whether you will be outdoors.
Is it safe for daily use?
Yes. Every ingredient in our formula has been studied for 12+ weeks in clinical trials with no chronic adverse effects at our concentrations. We recommend starting with once daily evening for the first two weeks then increasing to twice daily if your skin tolerates it well.
What if my skin is sensitive?
We always recommend a patch test on your inner forearm 24-48 hours before first use. Mild tingling on the first few applications is normal and typically subsides within minutes. If you experience persistent redness or irritation reduce use to every other day. Our formula is fragrance-free and designed for all Fitzpatrick skin types.
